This seems to be causing my jittery mouse moments even at high frames I tried just closing the OSD but still happens. I had to close MSI afterburner to stop this
it seem to be polling rate on how fast it updates. If you have this problem and need it running for overclocks can just decrease poling update rate.
EVGA precision might have the same issue IDK

Its way games handling my 5960x on 64 player servers @1440 165hz bottlnecking one core going over 90% then this happens hope they fix this. Closing MSI AB seems to alleviate little at times but still 100%

Having now issues with the game, especially since the last update. Run MSI AB all the time as well with the OSD showing about 20 different values.

    Will play some without it.

i found that msi after burner with battle field 1 and battle field 4 when using ( RESHADE / SWEET FFX ) when launching the game or alt tabing causes a massive cpu spike in game when u first launch it off topic , after un parking my cpu cores and turning off windows 10 back ground apps run in back ground ( mail, all those store apps ) to off + usind windows 10 shut upp ( google it ) torecomended then apply i cut down my prosses to like 79 totaly system prosses including back ground vs windows 10 1703 cu update wich had like 143 total prosses ! crazy eh . so now when gamign with out fps lock my fps goes to the 125 - 183 fps in bf1 ultra vs 103-172 with all those prosses

Running MSI afterburner cause Micro CPU stutter every 1 sec for me because of the Hardware Polling Period setting. You can see the stutter only when using the performance graph in bf3,bf4,bf1 and battlefront. Also in PUBG using the riva statistic server graph. The FPS on Nvidia, Steam or other tools will not show the drop but it is there with the graph. Stopping MSI instantly fix the problem. So i removed it. It might be only doing this on my specific hardware so best to try and see if it does that to your PC.

To prevent MSI AB causing CPU stutter, go and check you Settings if they match with
    1. Enable hardware and monitoring control- enabled
    2. Enable low level IO driver- enabled
    3. Enable low level hardware accesss- user mode
    4. Unlock voltage control -extended mode
    5. Unlock voltage monitoring- enabled
    6. Enable unified GPU usage- if enabled, this will set the MSI AB D3D Windows access,. When disabled will use AMD/NVIDIA drivers to detect the sensors.
    7. Hardware polling rate- 1000ms.
With these settings i have never experienced CPU stutter with MSI AB.
    My specs are below.
Please try the advised settings and let me know if they do help.
Ensure that none other OSD and Monitoring tools are simultaneously running with MSI AB.

No, just update your drivers and that's it. There was a bug in 388.xx branch which caused stuttering when MSI Afterburner requested info from gpu. Also update MSI Afterburner itself to the newest version.

Or make sure and make the polling rates @ diff intervals. I never install Riva Gat

Thanks a lot, that was the right answer. After updating from 388 to the latest driver the frametime spikes are gone. Everything smooth now!
